We were honored to be invited by the renowned musician Luiz Simas to create the visual direction for the music video of "Canção dos Povos Originários."
This project is not just about celebrating the rich cultural tapestry of Brazil's indigenous peoples; it's also about honoring their deep connection to nature. Inspired by the fauna that these communities hold dear, such as the jabuti, onça, and formiga, our visual narrative aims to reflect their profound respect for the natural world.
Moreover, this endeavor provided us, as Brazilian designers, with a unique opportunity to delve deeper into our roots and explore the immense visual richness of each indigenous group in our country. Through this exploration, we aim to capture and convey the essence of their cultural heritage, showcasing the beauty and diversity of Brazil's indigenous visual traditions. We seek to weave together both simplicity and complexity in our imagery, mirroring the intricate relationship indigenous peoples have with their environment.
Through a delicate balance of visuals, we intend to evoke themes of memory, territory, and ancestral roots, offering viewers a glimpse into the profound wisdom and harmony that these communities share with the land.
